Our Connected Youth Program
The Adidome Good Shepherd Foundation Connected Youth (AGSFCY) program was started in 2008. It was designed to engage young people aged 15 to 24, and all participants must be referred by the Ministry of Education and Social Welfare. The primary determining factor to one’s involvement is an active file with the Ministry.
This program is designed to engage youth in positive activities in a peer setting thus reducing the risk of re-offending. Referrals are made with careful security and submitted to a review committee. This is to ensure both the safety of participants and the integrity of the program.
AGSFCY participants are expected to contribute to an environment that is conducive to safety and growth. Participants are expected to understand and follow the “Beliefs Contract” that Street Culture lives by. Participants are expected to keep regular contact with program staff and attend regularly scheduled activities.
Youth have many opportunities to participate in numerous activities both planned by AGSFCY staff and one-on-one with their respective mentors. Other Street Culture Programs are made available to the youth as well.
